Street Champions are volunteers who play an active role in their community. People who care about their local area, look out for their neighbours and want a clean safe place to live.
At The Gower, we want to work alongside Chad Addison who is Environmental Coordinator in the Telford & Wrekin Council Co-operative Council Delivery Team to help people to make their community spirit go further.
There are a range of things you can choose to do and it is up to you to decide what you want to do in the area around The Gower. The roles are broken down into three key areas:
- Doing things like litter-picking, helping create and maintain community gardens, maintaining fences, linking up with the work of the Parish Council Environmental Teams, supporting community events that improve the neighbourhood.
- Reporting things like fly-tipping, dog fouling graffiti.
- Monitoring any of the above issues.
You will be provided with necessary high visibility clothing, tools and training. Register as a Street Champion for the Gower area, contact Chad Addison on 01952 380455 / 07875 472099 by e-mail pride.officer@telford.gov.uk
